Where Entrepreneurs Come Ashore

Casual Brotherhood on the Water.

The Island Club is a relaxed gathering of founders, operators, and entrepreneurs who meet monthly aboard a private vessel. No rigid agenda. No forced networking. Just good people, great food, and real conversation about business and life.

Think of it as a crew—people who get what you're building, who understand the weight of responsibility, and who show up not because they have to, but because they want to. Between gatherings, you've got a direct line to members across two chapters.

Two chapters. Two coastlines. One club.

How It Works

What You'll Actually Get

A private gathering designed for real conversation, good people, and honest support. Here's what makes The Island Club different.

01

The Vessel

A 55–65ft private yacht with a captain and onboard chef. Fifteen of you. Open water. No crowds, no agendas we didn't set, and no one trying to sell you something.

02

Who Gets In

Founders, operators, and entrepreneurs actively building something. The screening is real — we're looking for people who are serious about their work and serious about showing up for others.

03

The Table

A full lunch prepared on deck. Everyone eats together. The best conversations happen here — the ones that lead to partnerships, referrals, and real friendships.

04

The One Agenda Item

A single structured topic each month—something worth talking about. Not a lecture. A conversation with people who understand your world.

05

The Experience

Hours of uninterrupted time with your peers. Business talk. Personal talk. The stuff that matters. You leave with perspective you couldn't have found alone.

06

Between Sessions

Direct access to everyone in the room. An active private channel. Members help each other with intros, advice, and support. The real value is the ongoing connection.

Day at Sea

A Casual Day Afloat

No rigid agenda. One 20-minute structured lunch. The rest is conversation, connection, and time to think.

10:00AM

Board at Marina del Rey

Coffee, breakfast, and time to settle in. No agenda yet. Just people arriving, catching up, and finding a seat on deck.

Sunset Trio
10:20AM — 3:30 PM

The Conversation

The day unfolds naturally. Grab a drink and find the people you want to know. Talk about your business, theirs, the industry, or just life. Some days there's a guest expert or a structured topic. Other days, it's all open.

12:15PM · 20 min

Lunch Round

Chef serves on deck as we cruise the LA coastline. One quick round-robin — what are you working on right now? One win, one challenge. Then everyone eats and talks for real.

The Only Agenda Item
4:00PM

Back at the Slip

The day ends when the day ends. You leave with three or four people you want to work with or grab coffee with next week. That's a good day.

10:00AM

Board at San Diego Bay

Coffee, breakfast. The boat heads out. Time to relax and see who else showed up this month.

Sunset Duo
10:20AM — 3:30 PM

The Conversation

The day unfolds however it needs to. Find the people doing interesting things. Ask questions. Listen. Share your own work if it feels right. The conversations happen naturally.

12:15PM · 20 min

Lunch Round

Chef serves on deck as we cruise San Diego Bay. One quick round — what's moving the needle for you? Then you eat, look at the Coronado Bridge, and talk to whoever's sitting next to you.

The Only Agenda Item
4:00PM

Back to the Slip

The day ends. You have new connections, new perspective, and probably a new friend or two. That's the whole point.

Content, brand, positioning. How to build an audience and become known for what you do.

📈

Business & Growth

Revenue models, scaling, systems, operations. The practical work of building something that lasts.

Nothing at All

Some months, there's no agenda. You just show up, eat lunch, and talk to people. That's a good day.

Questions

Frequently Asked

Yes. 15 members per chapter is a hard cap — not a marketing tactic, a design principle. A yacht is a closed environment. 15 is the number where every member knows every other member. When a seat is gone, it's gone until someone cancels.
Once per month, per chapter. Sessions run approximately 6 hours (10am–4pm). This is intentional — every premium peer group at this level meets monthly. It's frequent enough to build real relationships and accountability, rare enough that it stays a genuine occasion worth blocking your calendar for.
Yes — members receive one cross-chapter guest pass per quarter, subject to available capacity. Want to experience San Diego in a given month, or bring your MDR perspective to the SD group? Reserve your spot when session details go out. If demand is high and a chapter is full, existing members of that chapter get priority.
Missing a session doesn't forfeit your seat — your membership continues and you remain in the private Signal group. There are no makeup sessions, but the member community stays active between gatherings so you stay in the loop. Life happens.
Cancel anytime from your member portal — no phone calls, no forms, no awkward conversations. Billing stops at the end of the current month and your seat releases to the next person on the waitlist immediately. No cancellation fees.
Once a year, both chapters combine for a 2-day overnight experience — Catalina Island, Santa Barbara, or Ensenada. It's the anchor event of the year: deeper sessions, incredible food, time to recharge with people who operate at your level. Included in membership with a modest cost-share for accommodation and logistics.
Submit your application below. The host reviews within 48 hours — we're looking for active operators, not aspiring ones. If approved, you complete billing and join the next session, or are placed on the waitlist if your chapter is full. Waitlist spots fill in order of application date.
Not at regular sessions — exclusivity is the point. Once a year we host an open session where members may bring one guest. Guests who impress end up on the waitlist. It's the best recruiting pipeline we have.
The captain makes all safety calls. In the rare event of a cancellation, sessions are rescheduled within the same month or credited to the following month. Southern California averages 284 sunny days a year — cancellations are genuinely uncommon.
